CINDY'S THURSDAY REPORT-REVISED

TREY:
When Cindy and Larry arrived at the hospital this morning, Trey was sitting up in a chair drinking broth and water! He was talking and asking questions about what had happened, how everyone was doing and so on... They are starting to reduce his fluids and if he can drink enough, they are thinking about taking him off of the IV. The head of the burn unit, one of Cindy and Larry's friends, says that she will let Trey go visit Tyler in the burn unit if he is strong enough.
BTW, Trey also sustained second degree burns on his head but because the burn unit was full he was sent to regular ICU.

TYLER: They are starting skin graft surgery on his arm around noon. They warned Tonya that the area where they harvest the skin to use for the grafts will hurt just as bad as the burned areas because they have to cut down to the nerve.
Tyler burned one hand, probably from trying to pat out the fire on his arm and chest.
They would like to take Tyler off of the vent, but because he tends to put up a fight when he starts to wake up, they have to keep him under. The nurses say that this is very very common.
Cindy wants us to BIND THE SPIRIT OF FEAR for Tyler. She says that they want one of the family members to be there next time he wakes and that maybe it will help. They can't remove the vent until Tyler is calm. Tyler still doesn't really know what is going on or where he is.

When someone told Trey that Tyler was giving the nurses heck, Trey laughed and said, "That's Tyler."

Keep praying, you are all such a blessing to this family...

"How beautiful is the body of Christ"

ADDITION FROM EMAIL:

Ann Ogle – Ogle Harvesting Pratt, Kansas:

I appreciated so much your adding the note to ‘Pray for Keith, too’. Your pointing out “...the collateral damage-the emotional and psychological repercussions …..” was insightful and important, as this young hero, and others involved certainly needed to be included in the many prayers going heavenward.

However, there are two others needing Divine comfort, strength and peace that have not been mentioned. The young driver of the semi and his crew owner, I’m sure, has been devastated by what happened. So I’m asking the good folks of Munday, Texas and the many friends and relatives of the Thompson family to include them in your prayers. Knowing Cindy and Larry and their sons, I know they would agree.

For about 25 years, we harvested Thompson’s wheat. We grew to know and love this family in that capacity. Because of that position, we can know the hearts and minds of the truck driver and crew owner, and realize how and what they are feeling. Custom harvesters live with the fear and concern of accidents and danger from the time they leave home on summer harvest till the fall crops are in. This, because of the number of vehicles necessary, the number of miles traveled and the amount of machinery needed to do the work.

Thank you and Believers Chapel for this wonderful service you are providing on behalf of the Trey and Tyler and their families.

God is so GOOD!!! The prayers are working for strength, healing, and courage. I pray that Tyler and Trey have the strength and courage for what they are about to deal with and see. I also pray that Tonya, Ronda, Cindy and Larry have the same strength and courage. Bless you and your little children!!

Just want you all to know that we are thinking of you, praying for you and spreading the word. I have already talked to cowboys in three states this morning that had heard about the wreck and were worried--hoping to hear good news. Everyone asks what they can do and there is only one response--PRAY. God has been good to us all and he isn't going to stop now.

I am so glad to hear the good news on these wonderful men. You all mean so much to me. I am praying all day everyday for you and you are on my mind all the time. God is so good, he will calm Tyler's fears, and both will make a full recovery. If I need to do anything to help down here at home please let me and Michael know, we are here for you. We love you.
With God's blessings,

Thank you so much, Kaci, for continuing to keep us updated. What a joy to read about Trey's progress; it's just a matter of time before Tyler channels his energy into progress, too.

I am so amazed at the strength of these Christian families and the support being rained down on all. God's love is abounding, He wraps it around us every day, and even in the darkest of times we feel His protection and blessings. He will carr y us - if we let us! So many verse from songs soar thru my mind right now - I just pray that Tyler will be calmed (maybe with music, maybe with the voices of his loved ones, and especially by the voice of God) and that Trey will be strengthened. I pray for rest for the family and I send my love and respect to all. Cynthia White

Prayers are going into the Heart of the FatherGod for healing of the body, the blood flow, the cells nourishment, mind, feelings and spirits of Trey and Tyler, for emotional strength for their wives that they may feel the eyes of Jesus looking upon them in His depth of compassion--that the Holy Spirit is reigning His comfort as a warm blanket around the children, families and friends. FatherGod, we ask You to bind the spirit of fear. We denounce the evil one and all he tries to do to give pain, hurt and torment. We denounce him in the Power of Jesus, the Holy Spirit and You, FatherGod. Thank You FatherGod for Who You are, and Your willingness to love and cradle us all as your children--as You would hold the families of Trey and Tyler and all of us in Your very own arms to see us all through the trying times in all Red Sea Crossing moments in our Journey with You. Praise You Lord for Your Merciful Heart and Your Victories. In Jesus Name.

It very humbling/amazing to witness how even others who are enduring there own tragedies or sufferings are posting words of encouragement and hope.

See 5 comments above mine, from Mrs. White. May the Lord bless you, keep you and be your strength and shield, at this time.

Kacy and The Thompson Family:
I can't stay away from this blog!

Other than checking on the progress of Trey and Tyler, I am continually drawn back to read the comments, which are added every minute or two.

I have seen names from the past that have brought back so many memories...names of the children of people I went to school with.

I keep wondering..."Who's next to comment?" and I'm compelled to check it out.

The power of the internet is incredible. Thank you Kacy for providing us this experience.
(and yes, Wes, I've noticed the same thing! Bless these dear people!)

My family's thoughts and prayers are with you. It is a testament to the power and mercy of God that even in such a tragic event, God is in control. Where life could have been lost it was not. Where injury could have been worse it is not. Where provision is made for his children in need. Where life hangs in the balance, He tips the scales.

God is good, and full of mercy.

Hang in there.

Love JoAnn (Hamilton) McFadin and family.

Dear Thompson family,
I, too, just wanted to let you know how much your family means to me. I have always thought the Thompsons embodied what the spirit of Munday is all about. Your energy, kindness, enthusiasm and pride in our community has always inspired me. This is not just true of one or two of you but your entire family. We love you so much and want so badly to do anything we can to help you. When people ask what you need, I hope you will allow them to give back to you what you have given to so many with your lives. Praise God for miracles. If anyone in the world can overcome these injuries, it's Thompsons. Kacy, you're an angel for providing this blog. We all are clinging to it for information and hope. Thank you so much for using one of your many talents to serve the rest of us. We will pray without ceasing.
God bless you all,
Shanna White

The bond we share with you was illuminated by the recent event. We felt to some degree the same heart sickening feeling at first news. For the past few days our spirits could not do much else except pray for you. As healing is now walking your way, we know the power of His Kingdom will be demonstrated among your family.
Blessings and our love,

Psl 34:18 (The Message) "If your heart is broken, you'll find God right there; if you're kicked in the gut, he'll help you catch your breath."

Almighty God, if I have not because I ask not then...I ask that Tyler would grow 'new' skin and calmly & quietly walk to Trey's side to comfort him. I pray that Tyler's baby's respiratory system would line up with the perfect will of God.

And I ask that Trey will have an even more accute sense of taste, smell, sight and touch than he had before this accident.

And I pray that the images burned in the mind's eye of each rescuer and family member be muddled and fade.

That you, Lord, would place your sovereign hand on Keith and unveil the 'calling' that you have on this young man's life.

Finally, Father God, bless the harvesters business and give them a supernatural harvest of blessing.

I believe that I have it without one reservation based on:

Mark 11:24 "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."

MOVE MOUNTAIN! NOW!!!!!
