TREY: At 11:30 they were taking Trey in for surgery. They changed doctors and somehow got the head of the ENT department (I guess the facial reconstruction surgeons) to do Trey's operation. Cindy seemed encouraged by that... They are hoping to fix it all at once. Maybe they won't have to more than this one. but... that is all dependent on what happens today.
TYLER: Tyler is breathing some on his own. He has come out of sedation a little. Tyler has not been conscious since the wreck so this is a big shock to him in every way. They are doing an X-ray on him to check for bleeding. There was a little blood in his urine and they think it might have been caused by the catheter but they want to be sure.(UPDATE:X-RAY IS FINE!)
Cindy is overwhelmed and very touched by the out-pouring of prayer, love, and support that they have received. She really wants you all to know that you all have blessed them so much. She is so grateful and so is all the Thompson family. Please keep on praying hard.
Also, they have befriended a family here who is there with a 22 year old named Arron Vancleave. Arron has severe head injuries and the prognosis is grim... Anyway, Cindy wants us all to pray for Arron because they will operate tomorrow. Let's Pray hard for Arron and his family!
Another thing that both Cindy and Larry mentioned... The people around the hospital are boggled by the support being given to the Thompsons. Larry joked, "They are like, 'Who are you? Presidents of the world?!!" They can't help but notice that most people in ICU who are in similar or worst circumstances don't have the support they have. We are so blessed to be (1) a part of the body of Christ and (2) blessed to be a part of such a close-knit small town community with strong ties that stretch around the globe.
I also talked to Ronda. She sounds so strong and she said that she can't even begin to tell all the little miracles that they have witnessed since this ordeal began. She is hoping that all goes well and that they are back home really really soon so that she can tell us all about it! Heather Waters is there with her today...

You are all in our prayers.
We pray that God will give you strength during this difficult time. We lift Trey and Tyler up to God and ask for a quick healing that will be as painfree as possible. We pray for Keith that he will have comfort in knowing that "things happen" and that God will be there to take care of all of them.

Dearest Thompson Family
We have been PRAYING for you since Sunday night and will continue WITHOUT CEASING. It is evident you are loved by so many--but more importantly by our Heavenly Father. We love you,
The Joe Leathers Family
Words cannot express what your family has meant to us. Please know that you have our utmost love and admiration as we pray for all of you. Trey and Tyler, we wish you a speedy and full recovery. To the rest of you, we pray that God will give you the strength you need to sustain your faith as you endure this trial. Your entire family has been such an inspiration to our whole family, and you are in our constant thoughts and prayers. You have always been there for countless others, and now it's our turn to give you our love and support. Love, Susan and Jim
Just got off the phone with Ronda and Heather. Surgery went very well! 8 plates and 28 screws, but they are done! Ronda says that's good, because anyone who knows Trey knows he may not go for another surgery!
They will take him off ventilator this afternoon after he wakes up. It should only be a couple more days in ICU, then a monitored room.
His back is hurting from lying in that position for so long. He's never been this still or this uncomfortable, so they hope to get him up and moving tomorrow.
Told her how great it was to see all the Thompson kids this morning at awards assembly and that Jamie took lots of pictures. Kelly is obviously doing a great job!
Ronda's voice broke as she described God's goodness. They are truly overwhelmed by the miracles and the blessings.
We are PRAYING TO GOD everyday for a fast recovery with the least amount of pain as possible to all. Our prayers will be with you each day. Our hearts are open to you if there is anything we can do to be of assistance. If there is anything you should need taken care of back home don't hesitate to call & we will be glad to help take care of it for you.
What wonderful news! God is hearing our prayers and is answering them all. We will continue to pray for you and thank God for his miracles. We are trying to spread the word to our cowboys in other parts of the country. Every one we've talked to want you to know they are thinking about you and can't wait till you're "back in the saddle" again.
The Thompson Family,
There is something special about you guys. I asked Kimberly earlier if she has ever been around any of you. She said she had. My next question was, "Did you feel it?". She didn't even have to ask what I was talking about. She knew because she's felt it too. It was a unanimous decision that your family has something special. This thing just radiates from you guys. Not just Larry and Cindy, but the boys and the daughters-in-law as well. If I had to put a name to it, I would call it Gods Grace. I'm telling you, people feel it when they are around you. I suspect that you guys have no idea how you effect the people around you. Even in just casual contact. I've read some of these blogs and I KNOW that others have felt that same 'thing' by being around you.
Imagine how many lives you have touched and never knew it. This tragedy has so shaken our community and obviously many others as well. I believe that the outpouring of love and support that you are experiencing here is a testament to what you have given to others.
Our prayers for your family continue.

God Bless,
