ALRIGHT! LET'S HEAR IT FOR TYLER!!!

TWO STEPS FORWARD, ONE BACK...

At 5 am the doctor came in and told Tyler that he would probably need MORE surgery...

This of course knocked the wind out of his sails. Cleaning his wounds, they noticed that some of the skin is 'dying'. They believe that this is directly related to Tyler's
lack of nutrition.

Cindy said he ate breakfast but it didn't stay down. They are going to start giving him more of those high calorie shakes. He is still in the REHAB unit...Cindy said they are waiting to talk to the ICU doctor. She is really conc
erned about infection and especially concerned that he is getting discouraged...She wants us to pray against discouragement, depression and infection. Pray for supernatural strength.

PEP RALLY!!!!

I was in Tyler's class from K to graduation and I find myself wanting to get out my old pom-poms! I am asking all of you to COMMENT to Tyler. He reads this blog everyday and he needs some cheer. If you are able, take a trip to Lubbock and wear your Mogul gear. If you can't, do something... Come on and tell him to keep it up. Let's cheer him on! Put it on and pray for this Mighty Mogul who needs a big boost! Send Tyler, Tonya, and everyone the courage and encouragement they need. MOST OF ALL PRAY!!!! The second month at the hospital began TODAY...
They see a LONG road ahead...

Go Tyler! NOW, LET'S HEAR IT!
>>Tyler, I made something for you!

Hey Tyler(aka Leon): As the song goes" Fight on to Victory". Griz and I are thinking of you daily and praying for a speedy recovery. We are coming as soon as Hoot and Slag get all the wheat cut. They are at O'Brien and have had a few break downs. We check this blog often. Griz will even check it when he comes in late at night and I give them updates when I take meals. Keep that spirit up. Love ya.

Hang in there Tyler and the rest of the family. God never said the path would be easy but remember that he is walking beside you and will carry you when you need it most. Tyler, you are still a miracle and God is not finished with you yet. Set backs are common in your degree of injury. You will get through it with all your determination and strength. You have more love and support than anyone I've known. I know that it must help you through these rough days.
Know that we love you all and have not let up on our prayers. We pray for all those involved.
Will see you this weekend.
Much love, Greg & Stella

Tyler,
You don't know me, but I knew your parents about 25 years ago. I have been following your progress. DO NOT LET THE ENEMY STEAL from you. Jesus is doing a wondrous thing in you and your job, as I see it, is to merely say, Yes, Lord I believe, help my unbelief (during those minor setback times). Know that you have at least one praying for all of you in Mansfield, TX.

Tyler & Tonya,
The Lord is my rock & my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust. Psalm 18:2....God is strong. Solid as a rock. Protective as a fortress and a sheild. He is your place of shelter. He is a resource that cannot be exhausted. And He is always available to you. So whenever you feel absolutely weak & defeated & vunerable, draw on His strength, run to Him. We are on your behalf!!! Praying for His hedge of protection around you and His blessing of healing for you. Praying for strength and peace for all you, knowing how difficult these long hospital days can be. Peace be with you all, Love you guys, Jimmy, Carlene, Trey & Kobe

Tyler, I come to this site every day and pray that everything is still going in the right direction--and of course, it is. I keep in mind just how far you have come in the last month--I realize there is still a long road ahead--but you have so many people walking beside you on this journey. Keep the faith, lean on others and be strong. I miss your harassing phone calls--I love you all and know that our God is good and you will be home with your family soon. Janeen

Tyler,
I don’t know how much you remember about Kandis and her struggle with asthma when she was little. Several times she was rushed to the emergency room by ambulance. During one hospital stay in Seymour, the Mighty Moguls were competing in a track meet nearby. As I recall, you, Perry, Terry, and Isias set a new meet record that day in the mile relay. That evening we looked up and all four of you boys were standing in Kandis’ hospital room wearing your gold medals. One by one you came over and presented those medals to that little 11 year old girl. She never forgot that day. The Moguls were always her heroes. She still has those medals today. 6 years later, after winning the battle against asthma, injuries, and a terrible car accident, she won her own State gold medal in the 1600m race . But, on her way back home from Austin, she stopped at an Abilene hospital and gave the medal to her friend and team mate, Mindy. Mindy was very, very ill at the time, recovering from that car wreck. But Mindy made it; Kandis made it; and you will make it. Remember how tough the last two hundreds yards of that race were when the monkey would jump on your back? You worked through the pain and the weariness and dug down even deeper to win the State Championship that year. We’re rooting for you Tyler. You inspire us daily. You’re our hero even more today than when you were racking up all those Gold medals because of the man you have become and because of the example you have set for those who follow you. You have three beautiful cheerleaders and another future Munday Mogul waiting at home for you. KEEP FIGHTING TYLER! PUSH ON THROUGH THE FINISH LINE!!!! YOUR FANS ALL CHEERING FOR YOU DOWN THE HOMESTRETCH!!!
Love,
Karen and Bill

Do you have any idea how many people are praying and pulling for you? Just look at the hits on this site!! There are literally hundreds of people on your side!! We check this site several times a day to keep up with what is going on with you and your family. I know that it has been a really long haul....and the haul isn't over yet, but we are still praying for your recovery and daily healing. When you get frustrated you should call Janeen---she misses you not harassing her!! Hang tough Tyler because you have the best cheerleading squad around. That would be your four kids and sweet wife!!
We love you and continue to pray for healing and peace.

Hey Tyler-
I know Jessica wrote something just a while ago but I wanted to add that the cowboy way of doing things is to ride any bronc you may get srewed down on. Lord knows (as do the rest of us) that you are one of the best cowboys around and I have no doubt that you will win this round. Be strong and grab that night latch, that is what it is there for. I know it is usually someone elses job on your team to ride the bronc but this one is yours and you will reap the benefits of getting it covered, so will all of your family and friends. We are the cheering section that won't let you down! I don't know you as a Mogul but I do know you in the arena and I have seen you all win your fair share of rodeos-even beating out my boys! Hope to see you back in the arena soon. Hugo is proud to have you as our Champions from 2007!

Trey- same goes for you! Get healed up soon and take care of yourself. We are all praying for you and your family.

Keith-Looking foward to seeing you in Hugo next weekend. Hope you all have safe travels, let me know if you need anything! Talk to ya soon. Jess says HI!

To everyone else-we pray for strength, peace and patience. You are a strong family and no doubt you will be stronger at the end of this ride.

Love to you all,
Tina Waite

Tyler - who knew that you and your brothers could dance like that?!? That is surely a hidden talent that not many people are aware of. When your leg gets completely healed I sure would like to see a repeat performance in person! Tell Todd and Trey that they better be ready, because you are going to be good as new and ready to boogie soon!
Seriously though, I know you are struggling, but because you are such a strong, wonderful, God loving man, I know that you will come out of this just as strong as before. You are not one to let anything get you down and this won't either. Besides that, you have such great family, friends and community support that you can't lose. Know that through the tough times ahead there are so many people that love you, including me.

I'm anxiously awaiting the day I can see the Thompson boys 'bust a move'. I will be praying that that day will come soon. I love you all so much!

Leah

P.S. Kacy - your video was priceless! Bravo!

Tyler I want to know why you didn't dance like that in Amarillo when we crashed the wedding?? You need to hurry up and get home because I have a special drink waiting for you that is if you can drink it with out getting sick like you did New Years. I can rememeber all the times that you would work cattle with dad and wake me up in the morning saying that is was time to get up and go to work. Now its finally mine turn to tell you that its time to get up and go to work so you can get back home. Don't over do your self take your time. We all know how hard headed you are so just listen to the drs and nurses and do what they say.

Love and Miss Ya
