Another day in rehab

This morning they woke him up early and gave him another high powered pain pill on an empty stomach. This caused him to get sick again. He was weak during therapy and really tired. Tomorrow they are going to fix a shake before they give him a pain pill and see if he is able to do better in the morning.

This afternoon he was feeling better, sitting up in a chair. He didn't walk today because he has been feeling a little lightheaded. Cindy and Larry are planning on coming home this weekend because Tyler is so much stronger.

Please, pray that the skin grafts stick! they will assess him on Mon.

BTW: He is really enjoying all your comments!

Tomorrow will be better, looks like those nurses' would not give you a pain pill on an empty stomach.

My prayers are with you & your family, glad your mom & dad are going to get to come home for a while.

Tyler,

What can I say that has not already been said? You are a Godly man, Great Father, Great Husband, but most of all you’re an awesome Friend. We have been friends since I was in the 7th grade when I moved to Munday. Tessa and Tonya have been best friends seems like forever. We know you will come out of the hospital just fine it going to take a lot of hard work but hey your one of the Thompson Boys those guys are tuff. I know you are ready to come home and I want you to be home but the doctors know what is best for you. So I will keep saying prayers for You, Tonya, the kids, Larry, and Cindy to give yall the strength and patience’s and the rest ya’ll need so ya’ll can get home. The kids are doing great they miss you just like I know you miss them, baby Trevor is doing good as well it so funny when I talk to him about his daddy how is face just lights up. When things get tuff and you think you can’t go anymore just remember the faces of your kids and I know you will be able to work through anything. Remember this verse from Isaiah 41:10 it say’s fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. How awesome is that, God has You, Tyler in his hand and HE WILL be your strength. I want you to pray this with me ok. Dear heavenly father I want to lift up Tyler right know to you so he can feel your presence, and feel your hand around him right now. Lord I ask that you give him the strength he needs so he can get home not when he is ready but when you are ready for him to be home. Lord you know how much Tyler is loved but you love him even more because you gave your only son so that he could have everlasting life. Lord I ask that if Tyler gets depressed that you get him excited, because he knows that you are with him and will never leave him he is a child of our heavenly father. Lord if Tyler has any pain I ask you take it any from him so that he may focus on you and all the GREAT thing you have done for him in the last month. Lord you are a GOD of miracles and we have seen that in the last 30 days. Lord I ask you to be with Tonya she has been so strong through all this, Lord just let her feel your presence as well. Give her the strength to be there for Tyler. Lord be with Larry and Cindy give them the rest they need so they can be there for Tyler and Trey. Lord this family means some much to everyone but I now that doesn’t compare to the love you have for them. I ask all these thing in your name amen.

Love ya’ll

Tyler--Sorry I didn't get by there today to see you. JoAnn had a pretty long list for me to do today. Will try to see you in a day or two. Hang in there, and God Bless.

Tyler, you don't know me, but I have been following yours and Trey's progress ever since the wreck. I check this blog several times a day. I do know your dad and know he is a fine man as I have learned you two are. I just wanted to pass on some words that have a great meaning in your case. In Matthew 18:19 the Lord God says. Again I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you, by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.
Well Tyler I think the group that comes to this blog qualifies as one or two and I know each and everyone of us is in agreement that we are praying that you will be healed and be home with your family as soon as possible. How can it be otherwise? God tells us it will be so! God bless you and your family and Trey's and don't forget old Keith. I have never been more proud of a young man in my life. It was so good to visit with you tonight! Your sense of humor is back, and that's one of my favorite things about you!! You sounded like yourself, and I just give thanks to God for that! You are SUCH a miracle, Tyler!!! I'm so glad you had me laughing tonight- you are truly turning corners, and I know that very soon you'll be back in Munday! Stay strong and keep fighting. Tonya, hang in there. I admire you more than you'll ever know. I treasure our friendship and couldn't be more proud of how you've held up. You are a beautiful example of everything a Christian wife and mother should be. You're such an inspiration! We can't wait to see you all on Saturday! Just know you're in our thoughts and prayers!! I love you both!!

Challenges:"Some see mountains and say they are too high. Others wait until they have reached the top to decide." YOU are almost there, almost to the top, keep climbing, then decide when you get there if it was too high.

Goals:"Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal."(-Henry Ford) Don't take your eyes off the goal of gettin the heck back to Munday, Texas!

Perseverance:"At the end of every challenge is the beginning of something new." Keep thinking about that next new beginning, the one that starts when you walk out of those hospital doors and head home!

I told April about the cute cheerleader that Kacy made and about the funny dancing boys... she said I needed to send a cheer from us, but I'm not near as creative as Kacy (some things never change).

Just wanted you to know that the "Offutt twins" are cheering you on... GO TYLER!!!!!
