Change of Plans

I talked with Cindy this A.M. and there has been another change in the plan to move Tyler. After another meeting of the minds they have decided TO MOVE TYLER TO STEP DOWN UNIT TODAY. After more consultations they came to the conclusion that Tyler needed more physical therapy than he could possibly get in ICU. Cindy said the Drs. and Nurses have been great and they have made good decisions thus far (Remember we are praying for wisdom for the Drs. and Nurses) and they would trust them now. We agreed that God uses the Medical Professionals and has given them the ability to care for people so we will continue to PRAY FOR WISDOM for them and PUT OUR TRUST IN GOD.

Lord, we come to you now asking that you protect Tyler from any foreign influence. Put a hedge around him and keep him strong. Give Tyler extra strength for the physical therapy. You tell us in the Word that YOU ARE OUR STRENGTH WHEN WE ARE WEAK so we believe that for Tyler today.

Trey and Tyler - it was so great to get to see you this last weekend! You don't know how much good it did my heart just to get to talk to you and hug you. You two are truely miracles and your wives and parents are absolutely angels on earth. You are so fortunate to have such wonderful support from your entire community - you can tell how much you are both admired and loved by all that know you. I know that you will continue to heal and grow strong, because that is just the kind of men that you are, but also because of the many prayers that have been lifted up on your behalf. You know how special you and your parents are to me and I am so greatful for the time that we had together over the weekend. Never forget how much I love you all.
Cindy and Larry - thank you for all that you are, and for all that you did for us this weekend. We so enjoyed our visit. I'm praying that Tyler will get to come home soon and will be back with his beautiful girls and absolutely adorable little boy! Thanks for letting us love on him - he is such a doll!

Love to you all,
Leah

Trey and Tyler, just to be able to see and touch you boys this weekend was so encouraging. Sorry I couldn't hold back the tears - just be assured they were tears of joy at seeing you alive and getting well!!! Thank you both for indulging a mother's need to touch and hug!
Both your wives and your parents are so gracious and and precious to have shared some of their time with you, with us this last weekend. Thank you Rhonda, Tonya, Cindy and Larry!
Praise the Lord that Trey and Rhonda can be home with their children as Trey continues to mend. And prayers to Him that Tyler and Tonya will soon join their girls and darling baby boy at home. Be assured that prayers from Kansas continue heavenward for you all.
"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you....." John 14:27 That peace, rest, strength and healing is my prayer for you.
Much love, prayer and thought to you all, Ann

Cindy, what did you give Tyler when he was a little sick boy. My mom always gave us chicken noodle soup and 7-up. after we ate that we couldn't wait to eat REAL food. Always try light food then go for steak or what he loves. I know what it is like when you haven't ate in awhile. It takes time for your stomach to adjust back to normal. I did that when I got divorced but I only dropped 20 lbs. in a short period of time.
Tyler will eat again then he would be asking to lose the weight. How much weight now has he lost? We are still praying for him everyday. We hope for all of ya'll to return home soon. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!! TYLER,TREY,TODD,AND LARRY

GOD BLESS THE THOMPSON FAMILY,

Ok Tyler just one more door to go through and that is the front door. Work hard. Remember those 2 a days in high school and college, you did it then and you can do it now.Maybe we need to give the PT a pig whip and they can pop you on the rump like you do Kendall's pigs. We love ya.

Let's believe that change is good. It's got him this far. We have been and will continue to pray for the best doctor's, therapist's, nurses, etc. and for them to make the best decisions possible. God has had a hedge of protection around him thus far and will not let it down.
What a surprise and blessing it was to get Tyler's call last night. That was the BEST Father's Day gift of all! He sounds so much stronger than 1 week ago. Wish we could come check in on him more often. Hope to see you all this weekend...... maybe in Munday. But, I know we all want what is best for Tyler and if that means being in Lubbock then that's where he needs to be. Will try to see you either way.
Hang in there Tonya, Cindy, Larry and everyone. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
Love to you all and hope you all had the best Father's Day possible.
