Cindy, Larry, Tonya and Perry went into see Tyler at 9:00 this morning and Tyler asked if they were going to do anything on him today. He is not talking much but he is resting and they are getting ready to take him to the tank room. This is where they clean, dress the wounds and debri the dead tissue. The Drs. say they will do the next surgery on his stomach in 3 or 4 days, maybe Friday. Today they are going to try to get him to pass the swallow test. He has had no food or water for 16 days. His temperature was 99. They will have to take new skin for the skin graft on Friday but Praise The Lord they had enough skin in the bank from the first surgery to cover the area they worked on yesterday.

Please continue to pray for peace and patience and pray against any infection.

Trey is back in Lubbock for Drs. appointments. Please do not stop praying for Trey. He has problems sleeping because he can't find a comfortable spot.

The family has a lap top computer in the waiting room and are very blessed to read your comments so please keep them coming. If you want to say anything feel free to click on the comments and you can write your comment. Click on "anonymous" and then "publish". They especially ask that you add your name in the comment section so they know who is commenting. You have blessed them so much with your prayers and comments.

If you are coming to the hospital the visiting hours are 9-10 A.M., 1-2 P.M., 5-6 P.M., 9-10 P.M. Some of the family will be here during those hours so if you are coming please let them know so you don't miss them if they leave for a little while.

I'm so glad I checked this morning as I missed yesterday morning. Praise God everything is better!! You are all still in my prayers constantly and will be until everyone is home, safe and happy.
My Dakota has developed a blood clot in his chest, so please say a small, quick prayer for him, please. You all have so many friends that care so much for your family, and I know it's because you've been there for so many. God Bless Your Whole Family, Larry and Cindy. Hey Larry, Cindy, Trey & Rhonda, Tyler & Tonya, Todd & Kelli ---
Just wanted y'all to know that we won't stop praying and believing that all of y'all will make it through this and come out healed and changed and blessed.... that one day you'll look back on this as not only one of the most difficult times, but as one of the most fruitful. May you be even more aware of the presence of the Lord each day as He walks you through this valley. Sorrow may last for a night... but joy comes in the morning. Dawn is on the horizon.
With much love,
Kelly Bland

Thompsons...

At the moment, this blog has had 49,236 hits. One reason it has that many is because "I" hit it at least 20 times a day!!! I can't seem to stay away from it. Not that I expect an update that often, but I'm addicted to the comments that people write. Each and everyone has been such an inspiration to me. I can't imagine in my wildest dreams what it has meant to all of you! Homer and I continue to lift all of you in prayer, especially Tyler at this time. Our community will never be quite the same. Through your trials, we have already become better people. We love you.

Hello Thompson Family,
I just wanted you to know that the Messer Family is thinking of you and praying for each of you. You are all such an inspiration.
Tonya, I wanted you to know how much I have enjoyed having Kendall in my classroom this year. She is always so happy and pleasant to be with. Plus she always has a bright, beautiful smile that just lights up the room.
Rodeo is doing fine. He may be just a little bit spoiled, but please don't hold that against me. :)
Please let us know if there is anything that we can do for you. You guys all take care of yourself and stay strong.
We love you all!

I want you guys to know that you are the BEST! There is not a minute that goes by each day that you are not on my mind. If we knew what was ahead of us daily, it would scare us to death. THANK Goodness the LORD is in control. Like I stated earlier, you are an awesome family and stronger than ever. I admit there for a while I was really scared about Tyler's fever and infection, but now the Lord has given me peace about this. We will never stop praying for all of you.

Love ya

Hello all,
We know how long and hard these hospital days can be. Just know that we continue to lift you all up in prayer. May the love & the presence of our Father surround you all & keep reminding you that you are not alone. He is right there by your side holding your hand, and so are we in prayer. Praise God for the miracles and healing that has taken place so far. There is more yet to come. Love you guys, Jimmy and Carlene

Here is a very simple theology of prayer. Our part is to pray fervently, sincerely, and honestly, bringing our deepest concerns to the Lord. God’s part is to listen to our prayers and to graciously answer them in his own time, in his own way, according to his own will. If we do our part, God cannot fail to do his.

So pray, pray and keep on praying. You never know what God will do.

Dear Thompson family,
Although most of you do not know our family, I also feel as though I have been there with you every day. Beverly is my first cousin, therefore Tonya is my second or something like that...regardless, this journal has touched many, many lives. Many have shed tears and broken hearts for this family. To hear of what was originally was a horrific accident, to now is a testimony of how awesome our God truly is. We all have shared these prayer requests with our families, our churches, our co-workers, friends, & many people who are strangers, but who share the same faithful & loving God. I have no doubt that God will use each one of these people to further His kingdom. You are a strong, loving family! We will continue to pray for you.

God bless your family,
LuAnn & Mark Krey, Leighann/Shane, Lauren/Mike, and the Stephens family

Tyler, Tonya, Trey, Rhonda, Todd, Kelly, Larry and Cindy:

In John 12:32, Jesus said, "But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men to myself." You guys through your love, obedience and unity have lifted high the Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. You all have been light and salt to others in this time of suffering. John and I check the blog site at least 5 to 10 times every day. Several times John has been awakened at around 3:00 a.m. with Trey and Tyler on his mind and heart, so he spends that wake time on his knees interceding for them. You guys are in our thoughts and prayers constantly. Jesus love you and we do too, John and Jean

Tyler, Tonya, Trey, Rhonda, Todd, Kelli, Larry and Cindy:

So wonderful to hear of the strides Tyler is making and I know it makes you all feel so relieved and joyful as you watch these first steps back to full recovery he is making. I also know you are aware that the steps in front of him that must be endured to reach full recovery are going to be some of the hardest he has had to make. They will also be some of the hardest for all of you to live through with him. I only wish I could do something to ease the pain for all of you. It is vital for all of us to cointinue to lift you up in prayer and not grow weary as the days pass by. I do check this blog numerous times a day and keep all of you in my prayers. I also keep other prayer warriors in the know as to what is going on. They are committed to pray for all of you until they hear that full recovery has been achieved. Just be encouraged that you are sheltered safe in the arms of God. Love to you all, Charlotte and the rest of the Jackson family
