Good News

Praise God! Tyler's surgery went well today. His back was already starting to heal, so it did not need any grafting. They grafted his side, and were able to use the skin that they had saved from the last surgery. Hopefully in 3 or 4 days they will do the grafting on the front and touch up some places on his shoulder. I think some of the BEST news that we received is that he was able to go back to his room without the breathing tube in his mouth!!! We are beginning to see some light at the end of this very long tunnel. I would like to take this opportunity to tell all of you how thankful and truly blessed we have been to have so many people out there praying for us and holding us up in this extremely trying time. By Tonya

Todd says, "We are seeing miracles daily and prayers being answered. Thank you one and all for praying and standing with us during this hard time. Words cannot express what everyone who calls, comes to hospital and helps our family at home means to our family. May the Lord bless each of you as you have blessed us."

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers."

Galatians 6:9-10 (NIV)

"Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice."

As your day goes, so does ours here at the WRCA office. We check this site several times a day to try to keep up so we know ourselves and so we can tell others when they call us. You are all an inspiration to us--you didn't cry "why us" but instead "why not us" through all your trials. You have touched more people than you will ever know. You are in our thoughts and prayers each day, all day. God is good!

Praise the Lord! God does answer our prayers-- no matter how big or small. I am so happy to hear that Tyler made it through this surgery well. Tonya, may God give you the strength to help Tyler through his time of need. He is so lucky to have you by his side. Tyler will be home soon with his wonderful family---I just know it. Praying for both.
Love,
Elisha

While I was reading this update, Darlene Zschech was singing the most appropriate song: "You Have Made Me Glad".

Here are the lyrics.

I will bless the Lord forever
And I will trust Him at all times
He has delivered me from all fear
And he has set my feet upon a rock

And I will not be moved
And I'll say of the Lord....

You are my shield
My strength
My portion
Deliverer
My shelter
Strong tower
My very present help in time of need

Whom have I in Heaven but you?
There's none I desire beside you
You have made me glad
And I'll say of the Lord....

CHORUS:

You are my shield
My strength
My portion
Deliverer
My shelter
Strong tower
My very present help in time of need
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's obvious the Lord is all over the Thompsons - they are one of the examples that the Lord used, when I was but a baby in Him, to show me what true believers are. This family exudes the very fragrance of Christ - and He knows that are faithful, that he is their very present help in time of need. He know that they are his faithful servants, and that they.will.not.be.moved.
What a testimony all of you are - and the Lord has not forgotten.
Trey, Tyler, Keith and their families,
We pray for you each morning and night for the strength you need. Lord, please watch over these families. Guide the hands of the medical staff. This is a family truly loved by many.
You are all in our thoughts, hearts, and prayers. One day at a time and blessed days will follow.
Everyone here at the Pitchfork Ranch have you ALL in our thoughts and prayers. We too check this site often and it gives us some sense of peace to be able to keep up with your progress in healing. During times such as this, we always want to do SOMETHING to help, but the power here is in the prayers. Your unending faith and courage is an inspiration and please know that you are ALL in our hearts and most importantly in our prayers.
Thirty years or so ago, my husband, Michael, and I were in Munday. Trey and Tyler were some of the many youngsters running around that day. I am grateful that the Lord has shown Himself powerful and mighty to all of you, Keith included. God bless you and your families as you continue to experience His love and healing.
