Tyler is in Rehab

Tyler moved to room 364 in rehab today. This is the first time in a month that he will be able to actually see outside. His room overlooks the courtyard where his friends and family have been gathering for almost a month. He hasn't started his rehab program yet, in fact he was still sitting in the wheel chair waiting and talking to his dad (Larry). Cindy says his temp is good and that he looks good even though he is tired. He didn't keep his breakfast down this morning so a PA examined him and said it was because of all the mucus...

Cindy watched them change his bandages and she said it looked bad to her but the nurses said it looked really good. Tonya and Cindy will probably do this once he gets home.

She handed the phone to someone else and I heard a voice. At first I thought it was Todd because he sounded so strong and happy. It was Tyler's voice. He sounded really good and I must admit after the roller-coaster month we have all witnessed, it made me a little misty-eyed to hear his voice. Thank you JESUS.... You ARE mighty to save....

Trey's face has been hurting him some. Please pray for Trey's recovery. He still has a long road ahead as well.

We are still praying for comfort, peace and strength. Tyler may God pick you up and help you run down those halls and out the front door soon!! You have a wonderful, blessed family. We wish you all a wonderful week.
Thanks again, Kacy and Wilma!

It's been a couple of days since I've posted, but felt as though my posting everyday was a bit selfish...no, a LOT selfish, but had to say AMEN to this post. Since Tyler has made this step, I see his healing starting to speed up in my heart and mind. I know all his family must be exhausted..nothing is more tiring than sitting in a hospital day and night waiting! God has blessed you all with patience, love, peace, and strength that not many families know...God Bless!
I would like to say that Dakota, my grandson, is having surgery tomorrow at noon. He's having his stem cells harvested, so if you think about it, please say a little prayer about lunch. Thank you all so much.

Cory, many prayers have been said for you during what has had to be a terribly difficult time for you, including being so far from home. Be assured that will continue.
Mike Strunk is a kind and good man - you couldn't be working for a better boss! The people of Munday are gracious and wonderful people. The Thompsons are by far one of the most loving and caring families you will ever meet. We'd like to assure you and your family and friends that you could not have been in better hands during your time in Texas!
Best wishes as you continue north on your job with your harvest crew, and God bless you!
